This is my true Greek oregano plant growing in my garden here in Ontario, Canada; it can be found growing wild in Greece. I planted the seeds late last summer and this is how it looks April 27th. It came up as early as the beginning of March – growing under a pile of leaves that I had covered them with. Greek oregano contains a high amount of essential oils which gives it a tongue numbing taste. Goes great with salads and is highly beneficial for your health, especially during flu/cold season.
